Matariki!

Hey bloggers,
Yesterday we had Matariki. You might be wondering what is Matariki? It is a time when you gather with your family, and share kai. It is also a time when seven stars other wise known as the seven sisters come out, and that is the sign for the Maori new year. This year we did three activities in class, they were all around Matariki. The first activity was retelling a Matariki story with stop motion. The story I chose was the seven sisters of Matariki. For this you had to make a backdrop, and charectars all out of paper. The second activity was manu tuku tuku kite making. What we had to do was make a border out of bamboo, then glue strips of paper with patters on them to the border. Now for the third, and final activity we made fried bread yum! What we did was mix flour, water, and a bit of oil. Then fry it in oil. After we fried it we went to a station, and put topping on. I put on the Fix & Fog hazelnut spread. My favorite activity was fried bread, because we got to eat yummy food. Anyway blog you later, enjoy these photos!

Cross country.

Hey bloggers,
On Thursday we had Cross Country. All the year six's had to run the day, and I am a year six. We had to run fun stations all around school. The station I ran was Tennis. With the year 3-5 we got them to partner up, and practis hitting a tennis ball over the net. With year 0-2 we just did blancing with the ball on the racket, and then did races. At the end of the day every year group sat down. Except for the year six's, they were getting ready for the run. First went the year six boy's, then the year six girls. I didn't come first, but my best friend Angie did. When we went inside the classroom we all collapsed. It was a fun day, but it was also really tiring. Anyway blog you later. Check out the photos down below.

Toolkits!

Hey bloggers,
Thursday the 18th of June we did Toolkits. Only some kids got chosen to do Toolkits. This year there was something diffrent about this Toolkits, it was fully online. We did everything over Google meet. People presented there slideshows, and showed sites over Google meet. Also some people were not respecting the rules. One of the rules was only use the chat if you absolutely need it but some people did not follow the rules. They were writing on the chat over and over again. But thats not the worst thing, they were also swearing on the chat. People thought it would be funny to do asmr into their mics too. Anyway back to the good things. We got to choose three awesome activities, and we had to attend their Google meets. The three activities I chose were Digatal portraits, Scratching games, and the Newspaper bingo. My favourite toolkit was the Newspaper Bingo because we got to learn about interesting things on the bingo. Their was also a challenge slideshow we had to fill out through the day. We had to complete every single challenge on their to get our digital badge on our blog. At the end of the day we had to fill in a Google form as well as a reflection. Anyway bloggers if you want to see my slideshow there it is down below. But for now blog you later! 😜

Post Lock-down creations take 5

Hey bloggers,
This week I have finished another post Lock-down creations slideshow. If you are wondering what that is it is some were you can put all your work on. There is one slide for each day. Every day you have to fill in a box, and do a daily reflection. If you wonder where we get our tasks from we get them from the Te Waka Ako site. You go to your group for whatever subject, and there will be a choice board. You can choose out of about 6 or 8 tasks it's great. But there is one rule you can't do the same task again. If you want to have a look at the slide show then here it is down below.
