4. Bread.
5. Honey.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next few weeks! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.
I can see you’ve done quite a few of the Summer Learning Journey activities already, ka pai! The food items you’ve listed sound very practical, I like how you’ve thought about what would last three weeks! I would definitely take pasta too, it’s one of my favourite foods, especially with cheese on it! Have you ever spent time in a canoe or kayak? Do you think you’d like to do a three-week ocean voyage?
Secondly, thank you for sharing about your family and cultural background! I really enjoyed reading it, and I like how you’ve made it into a poster - it makes your post much more eye-catching and effective. I went and visited Blenheim recently and we drove through Nelson on the way there - that part of NZ is so beautiful and sunny, do you go back to visit much?
I am Pākehā but my dad’s family comes from England and my Mum’s family comes from Scotland and Canada, which is pretty cool because it means I can go and live in all of these countries if I want to! I only speak English but I would love to learn Te Reo Maori and Spanish.
I look forward to reading more of your posts over the summer, keep up the awesome mahi!
Eliza.
