On Wednesday the 24th of July 2019 my school Waikowhai primary went on the streets to do a clean up, we called this Litter blitz each class got into groups. Each class was assigned an area they had to clean up. My group was a special group. We got to help sort out the rubbish into buckets and weigh the bags. Do you want to know how much rubbish we collected? We collected 200 kgs of rubbish I know what your thinking, that's alot and there was probably more rubbish that we didn't get to pick up! Also there were 7 golden tickets that got hidden all around the streets, we were all ready to find them. But in the end only 5 were found and the prizes were T- Shirts. We also at the end of the Litter Blitz got a free sausage and bread. I thought that it was bad that we picked so much rubbish on the streets and that people just dumped their rubbish there. That is polluting the environment and helping global warming succeed which is bad. Any way blog you later here are some photos peace out.
